In light of the ITER project and the increasing collaborations between Japan and China, we wish to enhance the bond between NIFS and the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP). Known for hosting the EAST tokamak, ASIPP is committed to bringing the stars down to earth. Exciting fusion research are happening at ASIPP, including the newly constructed Comprehensive Research Facility for Fusion Technology (CRAFT) program, the ongoing construction of the BEST tokamak.<br>In this talk, Prof. Hai-Shan Zhou will present those progresses at ASIPP. It starts with an introduction of ASIPP and its fusion research strategy, followed by an introduction of the Fusion Reactor Materials and Components (FRMC) division that he oversees.
