Yamaguchi (JAXA)<br>Title: High-resolution X-ray spectroscopy of astrophysical plasmas with the X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstract: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (XRISM) is JAXA&#8217;s X-ray astronomy satellite to be launched within a few months. XRISM is equipped with an X-ray microcalorimeter as the primary instrument, which achieves the spectral resolution 30 times higher than that of currently operating X-ray missions. This enables us to perform highly accurate plasma diagnostics on hot and energetic objects such as galaxy clusters, supernova remnants, and X-ray binaries.
