In this talk, we will present an overview of the recent activities at the NIST Atomic Spectroscopy Group on measurement, interpretation, analysis, and dissemination of spectroscopic data of very diverse nature. In particular, precise determination of both relative and absolute nuclear charge radii changes in highly-charged high-Z elements that involves accurate EUV measurements and highly-advanced atomic structure calculations will be discussed in detail. Then, a state-of-the-art transition-edge-sensor microcalorimeter was used to perform precise x-ray measurements of forbidden transitions in F-like heavy ions for tests of modern QED theories.
