Among others, erosion is a key driver for dust formation, fuel retention, and plasma impurity concentrations. Numerical simulation tools can help to understand these phenomena and provide predictions as input for reactor design. The Monte-Carlo code ERO2.0 allows three-dimensional (3D) simulation of global erosion and redeposition. This talk provides an introduction to how ERO2.0 works and examples of its application to concrete plasma scenarios in different devices. The code validation is shown using experimental data (spectroscopy and post-mortem analysis) from the tokamak JET and the stellarator W7-X.
