Outline
- Multi-scale interactions in plasma turbulence
I develop new methods for massively parallel simulation and physics analysis and study the physical nature of interactions in plasma turbulence involving multiple layers of physical phenomena.
- Analysis and modelling techniques for nonlinear interactions
I apply and extend mathematical and numerical techniques from the viewpoint of plasma physics, e.g., triad interaction analysis in fluid turbulence theory, Mori-Zwanzig projection operator method from non-equilibrium statistical physics, and multi-fidelity modelling using machine learning. I also explore mutual understanding with different disciplines using these methodologies as a common ground.
